What a wonderful surprise this restaurant was! We had a few mediocre dining experiences lately but this one was superb. Unique menu with a wonderful combination of flavors. The melted brie appetizer was incredible with thinly sliced bits of apple and carmelized onions with a hint of maple syrup. I could have ordered three of those and called it dinner. The main courses were perfect and the desserts finished off a wonderful evening. Our server was friendly and efficient. We would come back in a flash but we live VERY far away.
This is the third time I visit the restaurant and I am always impressed. The salmon burger is one of the best ones I have ever had. I always upgrade my fries to poutine. It is wonderful. Service has always been very friendly and helpful. Service is fast and the location is perfect for you to enjoy one of the most beautiful parts of Saguenay. I highly recommend it.
A Hidden Gem in Saguenay! We went to Summum Bistro Cafe for dinner and were thoroughly impressed. From start to finish, everything was superb—the food was delicious, the drinks were perfectly crafted, and the staff were warm, attentive, and professional. The atmosphere was relaxed yet refined, making it a perfect spot for a cozy evening out. You can tell care goes into every dish and detail. Definitely a jewel in Saguenay—we’re already looking forward to our next visit!
We had 3 starters, the Poutine, Antipaati, and fromegee/charcuteries. We were tired of entrees after traveling for a while. Plenty, good food, took some with us. It was quiet on Sunday, pleasant atmosphere and great service.
You’ll need to speak French but that a minor detail. The entrees are not only fancy but fantastic. So, while your waiting for that hop on hop off bus stop by tell them Palo sent you from the USA. ENJOY!!!!!
